Habitat:
This species is nocturnal and found in undisturbed forest areas nearby rivers. Individuals have been observed on leaves of herbaceous vegetation and tree seedlings ranging from 0.15 to 1.0 m above the ground, but also have been observed on leaf litter on the ground and inside bamboos (Brcko et al. 2013). Similar to most of its congeners, this species likely lays eggs which develop directly into metamorphosed juveniles (Wiens et al. 2007).

Range:
This species is known from the western part of Acre state, in the upper Juruá river basin, a southern affluent of the Solimões river, in the municipalities of Porto Walter, Cruzeiro do Sul and Marechal Thaumaturgo, as well as in the municipality Boca do Acre, in Amazonas State, Brazil. It occurs at elevations ranging from 215 to 240 m asl (Brcko et al. 2013, Ramalho et al. 2016). It is expected to occur between the known localities.

Conservation:
Conservation Actions In-Place
This species has been recorded in Floresta Nacional da Liberdade, Parque Nacional Serra do Divisor and Reserva Extrativista do Alto Juruá.

Conservation Needed
Improved habitat protection is recommended, complemented by more general actions to alleviate the effects of habitat loss from agriculture and livestock activities.

Research Needed
More information is needed about this species' distribution, population status, and natural history. Further taxonomic work is needed as this concept may contain undescribed species (Brcko et al. 2013, Jaramillo et al. 2020).
