Habitat:
Reproductive females are found within the leaf litter, while mature males and nonreproductive females are found on herbaceous plants and epiphytes (Ortega et al. 2009). A subpopulation has also been recorded from a coffee plantation and highly disturbed dry forest (Ortega et al. 2009). It is a species that breeds by direct development.

Range:
This species is known from elevated areas in the department of Santander on the western slopes of the Occidental Cordillera, in Colombia. It has been recorded from 1,400–2,400 m asl (Ramírez et al. 2011). In 2003, two relatively large neighboring subpopulations were found within the Santander department, one on a large coffee plantation in the municipalities of Piedecuesta and Mesa de los Santos and another within highly disturbed tropical dry forest in the municipality of Piedecuesta (Ortega et al. 2009).
