Habitat:

The type locality is ca 1,500 ha of primary and secondary premontane moist forests surrounded by fields and pastures (Meza-Joya et al. 2017). Most of the type specimens were found in secondary cloud forest (Meza-Joya et al. 2017). All specimens of this species were found active at night, on ferns, bromeliads, and low vegetation, up to 20 and 80 cm above the ground (Meza-Joya et al. 2017). It is presumed to breed by direct development, like other members of the genus.

Range:
This recently described (2017) species is known from four nearby localities in the munipalities of San Vicente de Chucurí and El Carmen de Chucurí of Serranía de los Yariguíes in the western slope of the Cordillera Oriental, Santander Department, Colombia (Meza-Joya et al. 2017, A. Acosta-Galvis pers. obs. in GBIF). It occurs at elevations between 764 and 1,473 m asl. Its estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) is 139 km2 which represents three or fewer threat-defined locations. This species seems to be restricted to the vicinity of the type locality (Meza-Joya et al. 2017).

Conservation:
