Habitat:
This species inhabits the vicinity of moist rocky crevices in ravines, canyons, rubble, seepages, caves, and wooded slopes. It occurs under rocks, logs, or leaves during the day. It breeds by direct development and does not require water for breeding. It is unclear as to whether or not it is tolerant of habitat disturbance.

Range:
This species can be found in the Ozark region of southern Missouri, northern Arkansas, and eastern Oklahoma in the United States of America (Conant and Collins 1991, Highton 1997). It occurs at elevations between approximately 40 and 800 m asl.
