Habitat:
Normally inhabits mines, but can be found in houses. In the vicinity of Santiago (central Chile), the species is found in rock crevices and under roofs of houses (Mann 1978). This species usually occurs at medium elevations, as compared to other members of the genus.

Range:
The species is known from Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay (Simmons 2005, Lopez-Gonzalez et al. 1998). A record from Peru is published (Aragon and Aguirre 2014) but the photograph does not correspond to that species (Barquez, pers. comm.).

Conservation:
There is no enough information about the biology and status of the species as to suggest specific actions.
