Habitat:
This species roosts in caves (Timm and Genoways 2003) and it can also be found in anthropogenic habitats (Rodriguez Duran and Kunz 2001). It is insectivorous (Nowak 1999). The little information available on its habitat and ecology is mostly from unpublished studies on the island of Martinique by M. Barataud and collaborators (http://www.ecologieacoustique.fr/). It shows an apparent fidelity to its hunting areas, being more active at the first two hours after sunset.

Range:
This species occurs on the islands of Martinique, Dominica, Guadeloupe and Barbados (Lesser Antilles) (Larsen et al. 2012, Pedersen et al. 2013).

Conservation:
Research actions are needed to protect the primary forests this species uses to hunt insects.
