Habitat:
This species appears to be associated with tropical lowland forest (Robbins et al. 1985; Happold, 1987; Grubb et al. 1998). Little additional information is available on the natural history of this species.

Range:
This sub-Saharan species has been patchily recorded from West Africa (Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria), Central Africa (Cameroon and Democratic Republic of the Congo) and East Africa (Uganda and Kenya), and is believed to likely occur more widely than is currently known. It is possibly present in Equatorial Guinea, however, this needs to be confirmed.

Conservation:
There appear to be no direct conservation measures in place. It is not known if the species is present in any protected areas.
