Habitat:
It is a strictly arboreal species of primary montane moss forest. It has not been recorded in secondary forests.

Range:
This species is known from the high elevations of western New Guinea (Indonesia and Papua New Guinea). It has been recorded at four localities but it is expected to occur more widely. It has been recorded from 1,000 to 2,300 m asl.

Conservation:
This species has been recorded from the Mekil Wildlife Management Area.
