Offline Avahi laniger Woolly Lemur -----
The Family Indriidae is a group of primates within the order Primates, known commonly as indris, sifakas, and woolly lemurs. They are strepsirrhine primates native to Madagascar, adapted to an arboreal lifestyle in tropical forests. Members of this family are medium to large-sized, with strong hind limbs for leaping between trees and a long tail in some species for balance. Indriids are primarily herbivorous, feeding on leaves, fruits, and flowers, and they exhibit complex social behaviors, often living in small family groups with vocal communication for territory marking and social bonding. Many species in Indriidae are endangered, facing threats from habitat loss and hunting.
