Habitat:
This species is nocturnal and arboreal in nature. Two young are born (Eisenberg and Redford 1999). It is present in primary forest.
Range:
This species occurs is known from the eastern Amazon Basin and Guianan region of Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guinana, east of the Rio Negro and north of the Rio Solimões and east of the Rio Xingu south of the Rio Solimões (Fabre 2016, Emmons et al. 2015)
Conservation:
This rodent occurs in many protected areas throughout its range.
