Offline Leptotyphlops humilis Western Blind Snake -----
The Family Leptotyphlopidae, commonly known as slender blind snakes or thread snakes, consists of small, burrowing snakes found in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. These snakes have elongated, thin bodies, reduced or vestigial eyes covered by scales, and smooth, shiny scales adapted for a subterranean lifestyle. They primarily feed on ants, termites, and their larvae, using specialized jaws to extract prey from nests. Leptotyphlopids are non-venomous and harmless to humans, spending most of their lives underground or under leaf litter, making them elusive and rarely encountered in the wild.
