Habitat:
It is a species of dry savannah woodland and bush land, also occurring in agricultural areas and towns. It avoids montane grassland and forest. It breeds by direct development, and is not associated with water.

Range:
This species ranges from northwestern Angola, through northern Namibia, southwestern Zambia, much of Botswana and Zimbabwe, to southern Mozambique, Swaziland, and South Africa as far south as Eastern Cape Province. It generally occurs below 1,400 m asl.

Conservation:
It occurs in many protected areas.
