Habitat:
This species lives in pine-oak forest, which is now severely degraded, and it reproduces by direct development.

Range:
This species was previously known only from the eastern part of the Sierra Madre del Sur near Quiegolani, Oaxaca, Mexico, at around 1,875 m asl. Field work in 2012 recorded this species in the same locality. Surveys since the last assessment extended its range to a new site in Cerro Piedra Larga (A. Calzada pers. comm. 2019). Its extent of occurrence (EOO) is 435 km2, which represents two threat-defined locations.
