Habitat:
In general this is a lowland tropical moist forest species that roosts in hollow trees. There is little information on the adaptability of this species to habitat modification.

Range:
This species ranges through parts of West and Central Africa. It occurs from Sierra Leone in the west, through Liberia, Guinea, Côte d'Ivoire and Togo, to Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea (Bioko and Rio Muni), the Central African Republic with a record from the eastern part of The Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is possibly present in other countries, such as Benin, Nigeria and Congo, however, this needs to be confirmed.

Conservation:
There appear to be no direct conservation measures in place for this species, and it is not known if the species is present within any protected areas. There is a need to maintain areas of suitable forest habitat for this species. Additional studies are needed into the distribution of this species.
