Habitat:
This species is found on unstable aeolian sand dunes with sparse vegetation (Branch 1998; Griffin 2003).

Range:
This species is endemic to the Namib Desert, from southwestern Namibia (Klinghardt Mountains) to southwestern Angola (Branch 1998, Griffin 2003, Herrmann and Branch 2013). It occurs from 0-500 m elevation.

Conservation:
It is found in the Skeleton Coast and Naukluft National Parks of Namibia (Griffin 2003) as well as Iona National Park in Angola.
