Habitat:
This species is usually found in secondary growth vegetation and man-made habitats, such as agricultural lands, plantations, and water bodies associated with irrigation, but it also inhabits lowland and lower montane rainforests and dry forest. It breeds by larval development.

Range:
This species is widespread in the Philippines. It is found on the central islands of Negros, Panay, Guimaras and Cebu, in many parts of Luzon including the adjacent smaller islands of Polillo and Marinduque, on Mindanao Island, Leyte Island, and the islands of Patnanungan, Jomalig, Catanduanes, Tablas, Romblon and Sibuyan. A record from Mindoro is presently attributed to this taxon. It probably occurs more widely than current records suggest, especially in areas between known sites. Additional sites and new island records for Siargao and Bucas Grande were added to the range map during the Philippines Red List Assessment Workshop in May 2017. Its elevational range is unknown.

Conservation:
Conservation Actions
This species occurs in several protected areas throughout its range.
