Habitat:
It inhabits the forest floor stratum in undisturbed and disturbed lower montane and lowland forests, and is occasionally found in anthropogenic habitats beside the forest. It breeds and lays its eggs in leaf-litter, and it breeds by direct development. It will tolerate some habitat disturbance, but will not tolerate the removal of forest cover (A. Diesmos pers. comm. March 2018).

Range:
This species is known from the rainforests of Luzon, Polillo, Mindoro, Leyte, Samar, Siquijor, Bohol, Cebu, Negros, Panay, and Mindanao in the Philippines where it occurs between 0–1,300 m asl (A. Diesmos pers. comm. March 2018).
