Habitat:
This species inhabits arboreal microhabitats in lower montane and lowland forests. Individuals were often collected among branches of ferns in both primary and secondary forest, and found on saplings and trees 1-6 m above the ground (Siler et al. 2012). Individuals were also observed calling 1-20 m apart, and its advertisement call is described by Siler et al. (2012). It breeds by direct development.

Range:
This species occurs in the rainforests of Tablas and Sibuyan Islands in the Philippines at elevations between 300–1,200 m asl (Siler et al. 2012, Philippines Red List Assessment Workshop May 2017). In the previous assessment the species was recorded as occurring on Romblon Island, however there are no records of the species there to date despite surveys there (Siler et al. 2012, Philippines Red List Asssessment Workshop May 2017). Its extent of occurrence (EOO) is 3,541 km2 and all individuals are considered to occur at two threat-defined locations.

Conservation:
Conservation Actions
On Sibuyan Island, the species occurs in Mount Guiting-guiting Natural Park. On Tablas Island, it occurs in Calatrava Watershed Forest Reserve.

Conservation Needed
The most important conservation measure needed at present is the improved protection of forests both inside and outside of protected areas, and the designation of the remaining rainforests as protected areas.

Research Needed
Further survey work is needed to determine the current population status of the species and additional, more exhaustive surveys are required on Romblon Island to determine its presence there.
