Habitat:
Very little is known concerning the natural history of this species. Roosts are in caves, hollow trees, in hollow rotten logs on the ground (Eisenberg 1989) or under overhanging banks (Emmons and Feer 1997).
Range:
This species ranges from Peru, Colombia and eastern Brazil north to Venezuela and the Guyanas (Eisenberg 1989). It is found at low elevations (Eisenberg 1989).

Forest retention and conservation of caves and karstic regions are the recommended conservation actions.
