Habitat:
Eumops bonariensis occurs in forests and occur in association with man-made structures (Hunt et al. 2003). Peters’ mastiff bat is an insectivore, low flying bat (Barquez et al. 1993, Mares et al. 1981). Reproduction in October-November (Barquez et al. 1999). Found at the dry Chaco, Monte thorn-scrub, and Pampas biomes.

Range:
In its most restricted meaning, this species is found from northern Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Brazil (Eger 2008, Gamboa et al. 2016). This definition does not includes the taxa E. delticus or E. nanus, now treated as different species (Eger 2008).

Conservation:
Found in protected areas. However, research activities should be implemented for a better knowledge about this species and its ecology. For example, it is hard to identify with acoustic methods, as for the others Eumops.
