Habitat:
This bat is frugivorous, although it may eat some leaves (Molinari pers. comm.). It roosts in small groups in leafy tangles and in caves (Albuja-V 1999).
Range:
This species occurs throughout Colombia to Peru, Bolivia and northwestern Brazil, from 180 to 1,900 m asl (Velazco 2005).
Conservation:
This species occurs in protected areas.
