Range:
This species occurs in southern Peru (Simmons 2005), but there are two additional localities from southern Ecuador (Boada 2011, Regalado and Albuja 2012).

Conservation:
Drug enforcement may help to reduce drastic changes in forest cover. A binational protected area has been proposed for the Cordillera del Condor, the border between Ecuador and Peru.
