Habitat:
The natural history of this species is poorly known. It was collected roosting in a cave, and is suspected to occur in tropical moist forest, however, further field surveys are needed to confirm this.

Range:
This species is known only from the type series collected in Kimanika cave, Kouilou, in the Republic of Congo (Aellen and Brosset, 1968; Csorba, Ujhelyi and Thomas 2003).

Conservation:
It is not known if the species is present in any protected areas. Further studies are needed into the distribution, abundance, natural history, and threats to this species.
