Habitat:
In Thailand, it was found in limestone karst areas, mixed deciduous and lowland evergreen forest, agricultural areas and rubber plantations. It was netted in hill forest in peninsular Malaysia, and also found at an elevation of 1,700 m in pristine montane forest in Vietnam. Females were found pregnant in March to May and lactating in May to July (Soisook et al. 2008).

Range:
This species occurs in China (Yunnan), Viet Nam, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra and Java). Further revision of specimens from Indochina may prove it is more common.

Conservation:
It is known from a number of protected areas in Thailand and throughout its range.
